The Tasting Room has been an iconic Wellington dining scene for years, nestled on the sunny corner of Courtney Place and Cambridge Terrace, this establishment does a modern take on traditional pub food and drink, with 14 beers on tap and a broad food menu which encapsulates a diverse range of dishes.

There is an impressive range of beers at The Tasting Room, from light and refreshing brews to triple-hopped monsters, with three rotating guest taps and a fridge full of enticing, fresh on the scene beverages. The cocktail menu is a canvas of zesty fresh and long fruity drinks, perfect for whiling away a summer evening in the beer garden. The lively atmosphere outside, and cosy interior, make this pub the ideal spot for either a catch-up pint with friends, a family meal, or to warm up before a night out on Courtney.

This relaxed local spot is a great place to try new things or stick to the food you know you love. Their carefully curated menu features a large range of tasting plates to share between larger groups, such as the crispy lemon pepper squid with its lemongrass, ginger and chilli oil, or the loaded fried with cheese, gravy, chipotle mayo and BBQ pulled pork. There are also fantastic larger plates to enjoy, like the signature Beef Wellington, or hearty burgers, with vegetarian and vegan options too.

No matter what you’re in for, be it a late-night cocktail, a relaxed after work pint or a selection of delicious ‘pub’ style food, The Tasting Room will genially cater to your every need, with friendly and accommodating staff. Pull up a chair, you’re here to stay!
