After a four-year hiatus, the iconic Hummingbird has made its grand return to the Courtenay Place precinct, bringing new life to a beloved local gem. The restaurant welcomes guests with a relaxed charm, a fresh new look, and an irresistible menu that tempts from the very first glance.

Hummingbird’s menu is a playful celebration of flavour, offering bold combinations and beautifully crafted dishes. Each plate feels like a discovery, from the succulent dry-aged sirloin finished with a rich red wine jus to the silky salt baked beetroor risotto bursting with warmth and colour.

The small plates are just as enticing. Beef carpaccio laced with truffle cream, golden buttermilk fried chicken, and raw fish layered with pickled grapes all bring something exciting to the table. For those who love to finish on a sweet note, the lemon posset with strawberry and shards of crisp meringue is a must.

At Hummingbird, vibrant energy meets culinary flair, creating a destination where every meal feels like a celebration. With warm, attentive service and plates that leave a lasting impression, this local favourite is once again buzzing at the top of Wellington’s dining scene.
