You only have to be on Instagram for one hour in Wellington and a snap of someone posing next to The Garden Hotel's famous angel wings is bound to pop up. After all, these guys are lovers of all things fun and funky.

Lush, pretty and floral, The Garden Hotel is true to its name. The most gorgeous indoor/outdoor dining experience, their pastel dining room is alive with trees, leafy greens and potted flowers that afford it a fresh, bubbly feel. You can hardly believe it's located in Courtenay Place! Indeed, it's worlds away from the busy capital outside and is frequented by after-work drinkies and the capital's it-crowd. Clearly, they can't get enough of Garden's vibe... and those iconic neon angel wings of course.

In keeping with its upbeat personality, the menu is serving comforting flavours with a playful twist. It's informal and delicious, starting with popcorn shrimp, buttermilk fried chicken, pork dumplings, and even cheeseburger dumplings! You'll have to come and find out the deal with these yummy morsels.

For something larger, they're playing to everyone's cheat-day cravings with the classic American cheeseburger, southern fried chicken burger and vegan patties with plant-based cheese and toppings.
