dinner

Spanning the vast expanse between South Gujarat and Northern India is Great India Restaurant, serving a wholesome helping of home-cooked comforts. Named one of New Zealand's top 100 restaurants by Cuisine Magazine in 2019, foodies are in for a real treat.

Disposing of curry powders and prepared spice mixes, each dish is prepared to order and with fresh herbs and spices. Expect spellbinding flavours that make the taste buds tingle, jingle dance. And that's not all; the interior is as exotic as they come, with deep red walls, Indian decorations, statuettes and ornaments and overall transportive quality.

Take your time and order in some entrees while your main is being prepared. How can you say 'no' to some vegetarian or lamb samosas, pakoras or chicken tikka?

And whether you're after seafood, chicken, lamb or vegetarian specialities, you've got a world of choice. Think fiery vindaloos, creamy masalas, spicy dopiazas and fragrant kormas. If you owe yourself a treat, look to their Maharaja menu that's full of their most decadent offerings. Yes, you're worth it.
