Perched in the heart of Wellington city centre, Fork and Brewer brings a hearty spirit to modern pub dining. The kitchen leans into comfort and craft, with flavours that nod to smoke, char and slow-time technique, all set against the easy hum of a central city crowd. It’s the sort of place where sharing is encouraged and second helpings feel inevitable.

Snacks set the tone: crispy chicken bites brined in a stonefruit infusion for a subtle lift, cauliflower wings glazed in garlic sesame soy, and loaded fries piled high with mushroom gravy and molten mozzarella. Toasties keep things nostalgic yet indulgent, from the smoked brisket melt oozing with aged cheddar to a veggie melt layered with pan-fried mushrooms, spinach and garlic butter.

Otto’s fish and chips arrive golden and crisp, while the chicken salad keeps things fresh with mixed greens and in-house smoked chicken. Burgers bring the swagger - the Griffin stacks a beef patty with sliced smoked brisket and house-made barbecue sauce, while the crispy chicken thigh burger delivers crunch, slaw and charred lemon aioli in a soft ciabatta. Pizzas round things out, from a classic mozzarella base with basil pesto drizzle to the bold bbq brisket and pepperoni combo finished with a smoky-sweet sauce.

Welcoming and sociable, this is a city-centre haunt made for catch-ups, long lunches and easy evenings. Book a table, bring an appetite, and let the good times brew!
