Wow! What a night. I can't recommend this enough. Good food, good service, and good with allergies. The atmosphere is lovely, with comfy seats and comfortingly neutral decor which emphasise the light and space. We had some small plates to start which were all exquisitely tasty - spicy buffalo chicken and tasty Chao Shou wonton soup which lured in even the spice-phobic member of our group with its amazing flavour. The mains featured melt-in-your-mouth meat and the vegetarian offering was also a treat- potato and kumara cakes with a pumpkin curry. We finished off with some shared desserts which came with some of the best sorbet we've ever tasted. The food all looked exquisite and tasted even better. What a treat!

We enjoyed our dining experience at Coco’s Bar & Grill, we weren’t especially hungry & there were two of us so we opted for the chicken quinoa salad, tofu, potsticker dumplings, edamame beans and salt & pepper squid. All the dishes were delicious! The service was excellent and the staff nice & friendly. We sat at a table next to the fire which was nice and cosy, our drinks arrived promptly and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend this place!

Mega impressed! The food was absolutely beautiful and clearly much attention was paid to detail - everything was so tasty and beautifully presented! We ordered the spring rolls and salt and pepper squid for entrees, and the vegetarian ravioli for main course (would highly recommend all of the above). We also received excellent service - the staff are really friendly and attentive, and the food was served super quickly. Thank you Coco’s for the top notch dining experience :)

We had an amazing evening at Coco!
Arrived at 5.30 and we were warmly greeted and taken to our table next to the 'fire' (gas).
It was a cold evening so that was very appreciated.

We ordered drinks and talked over the menu with our waitress.

Entrees arrived prompty and tasted incredible!
The chicken was cooked to perfection.

For mains we got the Salmon and Lamb Shank.

My partner said it was the best salmon she has ever had any my Lamb Shank was falling off the bone.

For dessert the chocolate mousse was the perfect 'icing on the cake'.

When it came time to pay, we were pleasantly surprised to be told the drinks were discounted too as it was happy hour.

Thank you Coco for the amazing evening, it was the best night out we have had in Wellington so far. 10/10 experience

Partner and I were initially just after dinner before heading to a show, but ended up being blown away by the food at Coco's and dinner ended up becoming the highlight of the night!
We opted for the small plates menu and got 6 dishes, which were all very satisfying and was a good amount for 2 people.
Best bits: Beef Tataki, Jalapeno Poppers, margaritas, the lovely and attentive staff
It was great to try a restaurant in a part of town we normally don't dine in. Definitely coming back!

We were four ladies attending WOW and this restaurant was directly across from the TSB Area so was a perfect choice for an early dinner - seems like it is very popular as it was busy. We had salmon, chicken, steak and the vegetarian so covered all the mains and thought the presentation and taste was lovely. Generous proportions of steak and salmon - only comment was one end of the salmon was slightly undercooked but the accompaniments and sauces were great. Sadly didn't have time for dessert but would definitely come back here.

Thoroughly enjoyable dinner at Coco's. The scallops and pot stickers were delicious appetizers. The men were very satisfied with their steak and pork belly - best they've had! Us ladies enjoyed the salmon cooked to perfection. The sticky date pudding was perfect to finish off the meal. Kudos to the chef!

Recommend the pork belly and salmon as delicious

One of the best eye fillet in town. It was rightly cooked and seasoned into perfection. Pork ribs was tender, soft and tasty. Love the aroma of red wine sauce into it. Lastly, the spicy chicken wings truly represent the asian flavour and taste.

On the other hand, service was superb. Servers are alert and friendly. Ambience is also relaxing. Overall, I had a blast.

I’m ready to go dine again and do it during lunch time to grab burgers. I heard they have tasty burgers, especially their WOAP burger.

Service: Our waitress was very nice, however, they didn't have a table for our booking and seemed a little stressed/disorganised when we first arrived.
Food: we ordered small plates to share and these were pretty good but not amazing.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. For a starter, we had squid and potstickers, which were absolutely delicious. Our mains were well prepared and the perfect proportions. Our meal ended with the chocolate cake, which literally melts in your mouth. Staff was very attentive and made it an overall great experience. We will definitely be dining at Coco's again!

Delicious food and excellent attentive service. My two 12 year old enjoyed their meals, but were disappointed when the desserts they wanted were both unavailable. Will have to come back and try again..

The food, we had the small plates, was excellent and portion sizes generous. Would recommend for a meal before a show.

- dined at Coco's Bar and Grill on

We made our dinner without knowing a thing about Coco's but I called them later in the day to check it was appropriate for a family of two adults and two kids to dine in, which they said was fine, though there was no kids meals just some small plates.

We came in the the Thursday before Good Friday and it was completely packed with people having a few to end the working week before the holiday - we wondered if we had made a mistake!

We were led around the corner to the restaurant area and though it's not really separated from the main bar there's a clear delineation that keeps it dining only. It definitely wasn't the place to be for a quiet meal but being there with kids I appreciated that twe didn't have to keep them really quiet so we could relax a bit more.

The service was quick and friendly and helped with some good recommendations for food and a beer (which I'm still looking for in supermarkets). The food was great and the kids shared 3 small meals which was plenty. The food leaned towards good flavours rather than large portions but I was full even without desert.

All in all a fun night, reasonably priced and everyone was satisfied. We felt welcomed though I wonder if we got lucky with the vibe it had that evening. So I don't know that I'd risk heading back with the whole family in case it wasn't the same buzz but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a group of friends.

Just a final thought: the staff were great, swapping between Bar and restaurant duties, busy but always friendly, and giving the right balance of attention and space. A really positive experience.

We decided to share lots of nibbles instead of getting mains. Everything was tasty and nicely presented. Won tons in spicy sauce were my favourite and the Japanese fried chicken bits.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Enjoyed our time there. Thank you :)
