dinner

Little Street Kitchen brings a vibrant, inviting spirit to Wanaka Central, where mountain views meet a relaxed, colourful dining room. Here, evolving flavours follow the seasons and an insatiable passion for fresh produce shapes the plate. Homemade elements lend texture and warmth, while the kitchen’s approach remains thoughtful rather than fussy, focused on flavour first and the simple pleasure of good food shared.

Plates are designed for reaching across the table. Soft bao buns cradle char siu pork or slow-cooked goat rendang; small comforts appear as prawn and pork sui mai drifting in a light, fragrant broth, and karaage chicken brightened by pickled onion and miso mayo. Sauces beg to be mopped up, and there is always space for one more sip, one more bite, one more story.

For those settling in, larger plates stride confidently between bistro classics and sunny spice: steak frites with pepper sauce and smoked béarnaise, or seared salmon with crisp skin, a potato pancake and saffron sauce. The bar keeps pace with a bracing Bloody Mary and a tangy Tamarindo. Gather friends, come hungry, and linger; at Little Street Kitchen, sharing is caring and seconds are strongly encouraged.
