Bambina by Giovi opens a new chapter in authentic Italian dining in the heart of Wanaka Central. Refined yet relaxed, it is a place where tradition is treated with quiet respect and quality leads the conversation. As the newest addition to the Giovi family, Bambina brings understated sophistication to the table, letting the simplicity and richness of Italian cooking shine.

Meals begin with the comforting pleasures of classic Italian focaccia, still warm and ready to meet olive oil and balsamic vinegar. An abundant antipasto platter follows the same ethos, a generous spread of Italian cured meats and cheeses with Sicilian olives, all served with house-made bread that invites lingering and sharing.

Pasta takes centre stage. Think tagliatelle ragu Bolognese with Angus beef and Parmesan, or spaghetti carbonara, silken with egg yolks, bacon, Pecorino cheese and a dusting of black pepper. Pillowy potato gnocchi come dressed in butter and sage or pesto, while ravioli arrives either richly filled with premium beef or with ricotta and spinach, finished in tomato and basil or a classic sage butter. For classic comforts, there is pizza too, from Margherita to pepperoni.

The mood is relaxed, the touch elegant, and the focus resolutely Italian. Make a date with Bambina, settle in, and let the simple things sing. A seat, a plate, a smile - buon appetito!
