dinner

When it comes to dining in Masterton, Lone Star has well and truly lassoed the locals’ hearts.

Step inside and you’ll be met with a warm, rustic space where big smiles, hearty portions and country-style comfort set the scene for good times with good company.

The menu reads like a roll call of Lone Star® legends, starting with the Redneck Ribs®, a finger-licking favourite of pork spare ribs, blanched in honey and spices, fire-blasted, then smothered in our famous hoisin, orange and sesame seed sauce.

For a touch of Southern charm, the Dixie Chicken® delivers tender chicken breast bathed in creamy garlic and white wine sauce, while the Prawn Star® brings the warmth with tiger prawn cutlets sizzling in garlic, chilli and coriander butter. Each plate is designed to satisfy in true Lone Star style, with big flavours, bold portions and a whole lot of comfort.

And just when you think you’re full, along comes the Lassoo of Hog®, with its golden crackling and apple ginger sauce, or the Midnight Nachos®, piled high with beans, cheese and all the spicy trimmings.

Whatever you choose, every dish is served with a side of laid-back hospitality that makes Lone Star® such a Kiwi staple. Of course, no Lone Star® experience is complete without a round from their bar, whether that’s an icy beer, a cheeky cocktail, or a sweet treat to finish on.

One thing’s for sure: at Lone Star Masterton, you’ll always hog the limelight and leave with rib-tickling memories.
