An institution in the middle of charming Timaru, The Old Bank has seen a fair few happy diners over the years. Your answer to homey eats with a dash of live entertainment is bound to become your new local.

Occupying the original building on a busy street corner, The Old Bank is at the heart of Timaru's quaint culture. The restaurant itself is incredibly relaxed, offering horseshoe booths for bigger get-togethers and tables positioned perfectly in front of the sports telly. A big venue with heaps of dining opportunities, feel free to make your supper whatever you want it to be.

The menu hunkers down with Kiwi favourites, as well as pub classics from all over the world. Mains include anything from Canterbury lamb shank to chicken cordon bleu, schnitzel, ribeye steak and the traditional Kiwi roast that should fill your boots with no problem.

Aside from that, they have a delicious range of pastas, burgers, paninis, salads and lighter meals for those who are avoiding a food coma. Equipped with a kids menu too, this is one for the families, the joyous reunions and everything in between.
