Waxy’s is New Zealand’s southernmost authentic Irish pub experience found in the heart of Invercargill.

Immerse yourself in true Irish style with a wide array of on-tap beers, wines, premium spirits, and, naturally, the iconic Guinness.

Begin with Waxy’s famous seafood chowder or the Guinness spicy chicken wings which are tossed in a spicy barbeque marinate and infused with Guinness. If you're after a light meal, there is the soup of the day or Thai beef salad on offer.

Hungry for something hearty? Dive into the classic Irish favourites like bangers and mash, a beloved staple. Don’t miss out on the succulent pork shoulder, generously stuffed with apple and sage, or the house signature hot pot that is brimming with tender lamb, beef, smoky bacon, and Guinness-infused jus.

If you’re looking for an authentic Southland dish, get on board with a venison leg that is marinated in wintery herbs like thyme, tarragon, and rosemary. Of course, there are all the usual favourites including blue cod, sharing boards plus something for the kids.

Don’t rush off after finishing your meal, there is an extensive dessert menu to tempt your taste buds and in typical Dublin fashion, Friday and Saturday nights also offer live music, so sit back relax and enjoy a unique Southland experience.
