The Saucy Chef's philosophy is to offer delicious southern flavours paired with complementing beverages that are best enjoyed with company, resulting in offering diners a gastronomic experience like no other.

Set in sophisticated surroundings with a chic Heineken bar, sunny conservatory space and a thoughtfully designed restaurant in warm jewel tones, you will definitely want to linger here.

And with a Southland/Murihiku inspired menu there will be much to enjoy while you are there. Enjoy Stewart Island salmon, tender braised beef cheeks, and New Zealand lamb pot pie with onions and a red wine jus.

Putting New Zealand meat on show, the butcher's block is a star of the menu. Authentic southern steaks in cuts like the ribeye and eye fillet are on offer or get a little messy with the pork ribs with Asian spices. Classic favourites are also on offer such as beer-battered blue cod and southern-style fried chicken. Alternatively, try something different such as ale braised goat.

Pair your meal with a beer or wine, and if you thought that was the end of The Saucy Chef's culinary innovation, prepare for a blueberry mocha tart, a lime and lemongrass Brulee or their famous gingerbread jar for dessert.
