Located in central Queenstown and true to its name, The Irishman nods to heritage as much as hospitality.

Subtle maritime touches nod to Ireland, Steamer Wharf and Otago, while the setting welcomes anyone who pulls up a stool to stay awhile. Friends and families alike settle into a space that encourages laughter, lingering and the occasional tale or two.

The kitchen leans into hearty comfort with Irish character. Irish nachos arrive piled high with cheddar and bacon, spice bags rustle with salt and chilli, and the Dublin burger comes glazed in Irish stout barbecue sauce. The Irish breakfast plate runs until 4 pm, featuring pork sausages, crispy bacon and more morning delights.

Mains include slow-braised beef and Guinness pie with flaky pastry and colcannon, as well as homely Irish stew served with soda bread. Familiar kids’ favourites, from chicken nuggets and chips to bangers and mash, are rounded off with scoops of ice cream!

Behind the bar, stouts, cask ales, whiskies, and Irish favourites set the tone for easy craic and spirited conversation. Call in for a pint, stay for the craic and let the night find its rhythm at The Irishman… after all, one good story deserves another.
