Voted the best bar in the whole of New Zealand by Hospitality NZ Excellence Awards 2022, Little Blackwood is a very big deal. It's classic yet hip, and has become a firm favourite with Queenstown's locals.

Mere metres away from the shores of Lake Wakatipu Little Blackwood has made its home... and what a spot to get your cocktail on! What looks like a rustic mountain cabin gives way to a smart and cosy interior. Comprised of a few bar stools beside a tiled bar, this bar makes a statement whilst also not being in-your-face. It's pared back and polished, letting the natural textures and light-spangled patio speak for themselves.

They might be known for their cocktails, but Little Blackwood also puts on a mean cheese and meat platter. Design it yourself by choosing a cheese and meat ratio before hand-picking the cheeses and meats you want to tuck into. All locally sourced and produced, take your pick of creamy goudas, mature Glenroy cheddar and double cream brie from Wakatipu. Then add on your cured pork ribeye, pork loin or Fiordland wild venison, which are always a real treat for the tastebuds.

Then, employ the cocktail masters who are responsible for the best mixes in this mountain town. Pages upon pages of signatures, classics and even a whole section dedicated to espresso martinis (all with different flavours) await. Alternatively, let the bartender make the decisions for you by giving them basic guidelines about the flavours that tickle your fancy. You never know what you're about to discover at Queenstown's best cocktail bar.

Please note that the First Table offer is only available on the cheese and meat platter and can not be used in conjunction with Happy Hour.
