Jo's garage is a must do. We ordered kids pizzas which we thought were the size of adults and ordered a pizza off the main menu that was massive. We also ordered the roast vege salad. Everyone left full and satisfied and we took lots of left overs home too. We will be back again Jo's garage. Absolutely delish and value for money!!

..beyond my expectations! I have visited Joe's in town previously, and thought it good, but the Frankton location was exceptional! Bright, open, friendly...and most importantly: great food!!!

Lovely dining experience with friends.
We all had burgers and 2 of us had the gluten free buns which were really nice, polenta fries topped off our delicious burgers even though they came with fries. A couple of cocktails and a glass or two of wine completed our evening. Our young waiter was attentive and helpful throughout our dining experience. Thanks Joe's we will be back.

We were very happy with our gluten free pizza and burger. The salmon salad was also very nice and great portion size.
For cocktails I asked for frozen passion fruit margaritas and it was delicious!
We love going to Joe’s at five mile and also in town as we always had good experiences with the service and food, specially with delicious gluten free options.

The staff were great, the food was great and we had a nice quiet table where we could have a decent yarn. We couldnt fit dessert unfortunately but had a few drinks which were really reasonably priced. Will definitely eat there again. Great spot too at the 5 mile centre!

Great food, well priced, wonderful staff and cool atmosphere. We will be back

Food was good quality and more substantial than we were expecting (split the burger between us and took virtually a full pizza home). Fit out is great, the space is light and breezy and the views of the mountains were unexpected.

We dined at Joe’s Garage on a Friday night and enjoyed the experience. We would certainly go back. At 5 pm it was crowded with patrons in the bar area and was very noisy, however things quiet ended down closer to 6 pm. Service was excellent from Molly our waitress. The starter course - kumara wedges with aioli sauce was flavoursome but a little over cooked. The mains - pork belly with cole slaw was very good. The helping of pork belly was huge - about double the usual and absolutely tender but also with plenty of crackling. The salad was under the meat but would have been better on the side. There is a very good selection of wines and beers.

Great yummy food. I had the Easy Tiger Salad with a side of chips and gravy. Both were delicious. There was a bit of an issue with the time it took to get our desserts but the staff were aware and gave us our drinks for free. Its how they ‘fix’ the situation that counts. So A+ for that.

Great surroundings and friendly efficient place. So nice to take kids anywhere where they are welcomed. Costs were very reasonable and using First Table even more so. We didn't order until 30 minutes past our reservation time and staff us just to wait until we were ready which was really appreciated.

Wil go back and next time we'll try the breakfast!

Very disappointed in the food, apart from the fact very basic, we sent 2 meals back fish both overcooked, salmon was overly fishy, fried in pieces and very dry as well

Joe’s Garage at 5 Mile bears no resemblance to the original concept in Queenstown by the creek when it really was a garage. Sadly, this version is just a large and noisy pub.
We enjoyed the service which was friendly and efficient but both felt our fish and pork belly meals were a tad dry and bland.
On the plus side, the prices are reasonable and I would return for a beer and chips/pizza on a sunny day.

I have called the restaurant multiple times and I believe their landline phone is still down. Hopefully it gets resolved soon! The staff has been accommodating with my requests such as bringing a cake, changing # of people and etcs. It was a bummer that they ran out of pizza around 7:30 pm as everyone in my family was craving for it. They also accidentally made a basil flatbread so they have given to us (free i think). But to top it all of, Emily our host has just been so remarkable! She was approachable with our multiple request asking for photos and took several of it, she had great recommendation and keep on checking with us time to time. Her customer service was just superb! Also she came with a buddy and brought the cake and sang happy birthday! Thank you so much Joes Garage! My husband had such a fantastic time! Love the deco and atmosphere! and would’ve ended our night 10/10 if we had pizza, hopefully we get to try next time. I might need to preorder haha

Steak was pretty fatty - two of us had the same. The place is great though and can see it being a massive success for after work drinks and brunch. Just not so much for a good dinner.
