Canyon Taproom by Canyon Brewing is Queenstown’s go-to spot for fresh craft beer, relaxed dining, and a view that almost steals the show.

Canyon Brewing brings Queenstown’s wild beauty to the table in Arthurs Point, with sweeping views over the Shotover River and Skippers Canyon. The taproom’s mood is relaxed and convivial, pairing a spacious beer garden with a roaring indoor fireplace for year-round comfort. Friendly and dog-friendly, it is the kind of place where locals and travellers mingle over good food, craft beers and easy conversation, all underpinned by a commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.

The kitchen leans into share-style dining and bold, sun-warmed flavours. Think sourdough flatbread glossed with clarified garlic butter, ready to scoop through hummus, and cheese croquettes finding lift with muhammara and a dusting of Grana Padano. Skewers bring the fire: peri peri chicken with toum and charred onion, and lamb kofta dressed with sauce au poivre.

Glasses keep pace with plates: house-brewed lagers and pale ales, easygoing cocktails, and a tidy wine selection from prosecco to chardonnay, alongside kombucha and sparkling water. Settle in, savour the view, and let Canyon Brewing do what it does best: pour, plate and charm in equal measure.
