dinner

Located in historic Arrowtown, La Rumbla is a must-visit for those who love shared plates and friendly sips in the beautiful Central Otago scenery.

La Rumbla's ambiance boasts a rustic charm with a modern twist on Spanish tapas. The decor, a perfect mix of old-world charm and contemporary chic, sets the scene for a memorable dining experience. Here, the evening buzzes with laughter and the sound of clinking glasses.

The tapas menu offers a spread of vibrant flavours meant to be enjoyed and discussed together. Start with the salmon ceviche, a refreshing mix of coriander and watermelon salad, avocado on masa tostadas. Then, move on to the calamari frito, where the crunch of fried NZ calamari is complemented by chilli & lime salt, softened with a touch of garlic aioli.

Larger dishes include the seared duck breast, grilled pears, wild rice, parsnip and fig vincotto, and the grilled Fiordland octopus, a combination of confit potatoes and chorizo in guajllo salsa matcha. The roasted market fish, served up with a fennel and capsicum sofrito with mussels and artichokes, showcases the best of the ocean.

As the night moves on, their selected wines take you on a tour through New Zealand's vineyards and beyond. Beer lovers will enjoy the variety of local brews, and cider fans can choose from apple or pear ciders, all under the twinkling lights and gorgeous Arrowtown scenery.

The venue requires credit card details to confirm the reservation. You will receive an email from the venue shortly after completing your booking with further details. The venue kindly requests at least 24 hours notice if numbers decrease or if you intend to reschedule or cancel the reservation.
