Welcome to CAVE - a temple dedicated to the fine art of Japanese cuisine, nestled in gorgeous Arrowtown. From the moment you step inside, it's clear - this is where tapas go to grow up, and sake takes on a starring role.

Amidst intimate lighting and sleek, sophisticated decor, CAVE exudes an air of exclusivity that perfectly complements its culinary offerings. The atmosphere strikes a delicate balance, both cosy cavern and chic sake bar, where guests are invited to linger over small plates in a setting that whispers of late-night Tokyo adventures.

The food at CAVE is a thrilling foray into the fresh and the traditional. Marvel at the artfully presented assorted sashimi, with its delicate slices of salmon, tuna, and scallop, begging to be savoured with a drop of soy and a touch of wasabi. A prawn on top, perhaps? The sheer luxury of choice ensures a tailored feast for the senses. Sushi aficionados will rejoice at the nigiri and rolls, from the rich flavours of aburi with flying fish roe to the classic comfort of a salmon and avocado roll.

To accompany this epicurean delight, CAVE's selection of sake and Japanese spirits beckons. Whether you're a sake savant or a newcomer eager to explore, the junmai dai ginjo or a warming cup of honjozo will transport you straight to the streets of Sapporo or Osaka. And let's not overlook the extensive wine list, ranging from Methode Traditionelle to bold reds - something to suit every palate and plate.
