Malabar Magic restaurant in Dunedin offers a cosy and welcoming ambience where guests can enjoy the bold and aromatic flavours of traditional Kerala cuisine.

The menu features a variety of authentic dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's setting is perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. It prides itself on exceptional service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for every guest.

Inspired by the rich and diverse cuisine of Kerala start with some prawn 65, marinated prawns deep-fried with Indian spices, or tandoori chicken, marinated spring chicken skewered and cooked in tandoor to perfection.

For the main event, satisfy your cravings with butter chicken, pieces of boneless chicken cooked in garlic, ginger, cream, and tomato sauce, or Rogan josh, a lamb dish cooked with yoghurt, cream, and rich spices. Vegetarians can indulge in matar paneer, Indian cheese with green peas in spicy tomato sauce, or paneer makhani, homemade cheese in tomato sauce finished with cream.

No Indian feast is complete without fragrant rice and bread. The menu offers choices such as the Biriyani Rice, fragrant rice cooked with spices and served with chicken, beef, or lamb, and the coconut rice, flavoured with coconut milk, adding a sweet and nutty flavour to the dish.
