dinner

OAKEN, situated in the heart of Dunedin, provides a welcoming modern environment perfect for indulging in locally sourced dishes and exceptional coffee.

The setting is ideal for casual dining, providing a stunning location to meet with friends in a warm and inviting ambience. OAKEN focuses on the culinary talents developed by the top chefs who create each menu, showcasing the finest ingredients the city of Dunedin offers. The result means that when the food arrives it is expertly crafted, full of flavour and designed with culinary excellence in mind.

The dishes range from simple elegance – succulent grilled chicken breast with seasonal salad and fries – to something hearty like the ribeye steak with your choice of mushroom or garlic sauce. Alternatively, wrap your mouth around the extreme BBQ beef and bacon burger or for something with a kick, try the spicy paneer burger.

OAKEN’s distinctly local focus shines through in their menu - it's not just the coffee, tea and food that are so alluring, OAKEN’s space has been transformed, taking inspiration from all over the world and combining it with domestic charm.
