Located in the heart of Dunedin, The Kensington Sports Bar & Tavern is a proud, locally owned pub offering great Kiwi hospitality, hearty meals and a welcoming atmosphere.

The menu celebrates classic Kiwi pub favourites, with generous portions, fresh ingredients and something to satisfy every appetite. Start with the namesake Kensi fried chicken, featuring crispy-coated chicken thighs served with chipotle mayo and a fresh side salad, or warm up with a hearty seafood chowder.

For bigger cravings, the burgers are a crowd favourite. From the fully loaded beef pattie burger, stacked with Swiss cheese, bacon, fried egg, onion rings and BBQ sauce, to the Kensi fried chicken burger with battered pickles and buttermilk ranch dressing, there’s plenty to enjoy. The mains feature comforting classics such as tender, slow-cooked glazed pork ribs and grilled striploin steak, alongside fresh, flavourful salads. End on a sweet note with an indulgent sticky date pudding or classic banoffee pie.

Beyond the dining experience, The Kensington is a lively local favourite. With 12 large screens showing Sky Sport and UFC, a dedicated gaming lounge, a versatile function room and a beautiful garden bar, there’s always a reason to visit.

Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying a family meal or settling in to watch the game, The Kensington is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy good food. Come with a big appetite, leave happy, and make yourself at home at The Kensi!
