Set in the historic heart of Clyde, Olivers Restaurant and Bar delivers a memorable taste of Central Otago.

Led by head chef James Waite and a dedicated team, the kitchen champions local ingredients with a menu that moves with the seasons - heartwarming by the fire in winter, yet fresh and bright when dining under the stars.

The setting wears its gold-rush heritage with quiet pride. The bar front is fashioned from the original 1869 Victoria Store counter, complemented by 1830s copper etchings uncovered during redevelopment. It is an award-winning address where warm, unhurried service meets a genuine sense of place.

On the plate, expect clean, confident flavours - from a house-baked grain sourdough mini loaf and silky duck liver pâté to crispy-skin salmon or a chargrilled beef fillet, finishing with a saffron yoghurt mousse or mulled-wine-spiced poached pear.

A thoughtfully curated selection showcases Central Otago’s celebrated local vineyards alongside crisp, hand-crafted options from the on-site Victoria Store Brewery.

Settle in and let the seasons do the talking. Your table awaits - make this place your own, with a dash of Clyde charm!
