Tucked along bustling Quality Street in the heart of Whangārei, Amici Italian Restaurant balances neighbourhood warmth with a touch of Italian romance.

An expansive terrace with a tranquil fountain beckons on sunny days, while a cosy fireplace glows within when the weather turns. From easy-going brunch through lingering lunches to dinner and a lively pizzeria rhythm, it is a place that invites conversation, laughter and second helpings. The context is suitable for an email, as it covers the full range of dining times.

In the kitchen, tradition meets a spirited twist. Amici champions handcrafted cooking - think lasagna built one layer at a time and tiramisu crafted from scratch.

The classics speak for themselves, with comforting pasta dishes alongside a signature fettuccine carbonara with a gentle kick that nods to their “spiced Italian” leanings. Italian comfort is kissed with Northland conviviality, always fresh and made to order.

Come evening, seared sirloin steak on truffle mash and roasted lamb rump bring satisfying depth, while a changing risotto and fish of the day keep things seasonal.

Settle in for dessert, a nibble, or simply a casual wine or coffee. Amici is ready to welcome - come for the classics, stay for the spice, and leave with a smile as a souvenir!
