Situated in the enchanting town of Picton, Marlborough's coastal jewel, The Chartroom Restaurant offers a dining experience that navigates through a variety of flavours, presenting a menu as varied as the scenic landscapes that envelop it. With the Picton Yacht Club Hotel as its foundation, this dining oasis is a beacon for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike.

Entering The Chartroom Restaurant, you're greeted with an ambiance that mirrors the serene maritime spirit of Picton. The décor, a flawless blend of nautical allure and contemporary sophistication, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're seated indoors, amidst the stylish, understated interiors, or outdoors, savouring the coastal breeze, every table provides a view that complements the meal.

Start your dining journey with the Havelock mussels garam masala, an homage to local ingredients blended with exotic spices and served with perfectly toasted sourdough, a dish guaranteed to stimulate the senses. Or, for a vegetarian choice, the gnocchi potato with its rich basil pesto, a touch of chilli, and a crunch of hazelnuts, finished with a generous dusting of parmesan, is a symphony of textures and flavours.

The main courses traverse international tastes, with the Korean style beef rib offering a tender, spicy exploration accompanied by a refreshing house slaw and hearty oven-roasted polenta. The smoked Akaroa salmon, paired with a vibrant beetroot and mung bean salad, crowned with a cranberry red wine dressing and a dollop of sour cream, celebrates New Zealand's produce. And for those in search of a hearty meal, the ribeye with its rich café de Paris butter and roasted carrots appeals to meat lovers.

No dining experience is complete without the perfect accompaniment, and the house slaw, crisp, tangy, and dotted with parmesan, is an ideal complement to any main dish.

The Chartroom Restaurant, with its ambition to enchant, invites you to settle down and enjoy a meal where each dish is an exploration and every bite a pleasure.
