Residing in the Marlborough Hotel is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Blenheim. Its name is Sasa.

Effortlessly merged with the hotel's pristine design, Sasa allows you to dine right beside a crystal-clear pool whilst soaking in some rays in NZ's sunniest city. There's no better place to unwind after a full day, and you can even combine dinner with a pre-aperitif swim, followed by your first cocktail. It is a place where clean, precise flavours meet satisfying indulgence, and where the kitchen’s craft shows in both finesse and sizzle.

Sasa embraces the variety of Japanese cuisine and is keen to show you everything that it has to offer. Even the starters are extensive, offering everything from crispy seafood and wasabeef tataki to crunchy gyoza with all kinds of fillings and platters full of melt-in-the-mouth sashimi. It is the kind of start that suggests restraint and respect for good ingredients.

The mains follow suit with goodies from the wok that combine marinated chicken or pork crumbed katsu, sweet miso glazes and tofu. Don't miss their signature dishes like sizzling bulgogi beef and unagi bibimbap, for those that can't resist a theatrical entrance. Japanese food as you've never experienced it before, Sasa is serving up poolside vibes for your next round of Sake.

Book in, bring an appetite, and let the sizzle and subtlety do the talking.
