Set within the Copthorne Hotel Palmerston North, Jimmy Cook's Kiwi Kitchen brings a warmly polished take on local dining to the heart of the Manawatu. Award-winning and proudly rooted in its region, it champions fresh, seasonal produce and a hospitality style that feels both confident and unpretentious.

The menu signals comfort with a contemporary, globally inspired edge. Think Atlantic salmon served over creamy, spiced coconut spinach with jasmine rice, or a perfectly cooked Angus Scotch fillet that comes with seasonal vegetables, cauliflower purée, and a rich jus, served with your choice of Parmesan-herb mash or golden hash sticks.

For something more casual, the karaage bowl pairs crispy Japanese fried chicken with fresh, crunchy sides and a drizzle of Japanese mayo.

Small plates and share-style options keep things lively, from takoyaki balls - golden octopus bites drizzled with teriyaki sauce and Japanese mayo - to open roti topped with BBQ pulled pork and a kick of sriracha. Each dish reflects a culinary approach that’s playful, flavour-forward and attentive to detail.

A warm, comfortable atmosphere and thoughtful service ensure everyone feels looked after, with the team adept at catering to a range of dietary needs. Settle in, savour the flavours, and let Palmy’s pantry shine. It’s time to pull up a chair and let the Jimmy Cook's Kiwi Kitchen do the talking!
