dinner

Slow the clocks, hit pause and drift. Napier's favourite waterfront restaurant and bar is serving up sumptuous plates in a jolly, informal atmosphere.

Drift can be found facing some of Napier's most spectacular sunsets. Open, breezy and communal, this eatery effortlessly brings people together. Their long tables are perfect for a boisterous family get-together whilst the booths create a cosiness that's perfect for a quiet catch up or date night. And we needn't tell you about the views from the terrace. Indeed, pretty little Napier has never been so charming as from this vantage point.

The menu champions the best of Kiwi cuisine and international comfort eats. You'll find the classic cuts of meats dressed to impress with the likes of lamb shank anointed with a red wine sauce, tender chicken breast with seasonal vegetables and the surfer's steak crowned with mussels, prawns and squid.

From different corners of the globe come the quesadillas, seafood curry and a soy-tastic beef stir fry with heaps of crunchy vegetables and cashews. In addition, their pasta nights serve up a fresh take on Italian classics and always keep you on your toes with new recipes! Finally, let the evening drift on with a homemade cheesecake or chocolate brownie. They are the perfect partners to wave farewell to the sun with.
