Set in Gisborne City Centre, The Rivers Bar and Restaurant is a cosy, inviting spot where the welcome is as warm as the plates from the kitchen. It is the kind of place that suits both spur-of-the-moment snacks and unhurried, sit-down meals, all anchored in comfort-first cooking.

The food leans into hearty, familiar flavours, done with care. Expect golden, crispy fish and chips that crackle at the fork, tender burgers stacked just so, and pies that deliver that deeply satisfying, homely hit. This is honest fare designed to take the edge off a busy day and put a grin back where it belongs.

At the bar, a comprehensive drinks line-up keeps pace: craft beers for the hop-curious, premium spirits for the purists, perfectly poured pints and handcrafted cocktails for those who like to linger. The relaxed vibe runs through every corner, making it as fitting for a quick catch-up as it is for an easy-going evening that unspools gently.

Make The Rivers your next port of call in Gisborne City Centre; come for the comfort, stay for the cheer, and let the good times flow.
