Not to be confused with Indian Sumner on Manchester Street, Indian Sumner in actual Sumner is the longest standing Indian restaurant in Christchurch. Fancy that!

It's a bright and cheerful spot with happy yellow walls and playful photos and paintings dotting the walls. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate, look no further; Indian Sumner is the best party host in town. It's perfect for groups and informal suppers.

Get the party started with some crispy vegetable samosas or a lamb kebab to share. The mains are full of popular favourites like Butter Chicken, Mango Chicken and a spicy Vindaloo for those who like it hot. There are also seafood curries aplenty; fish and prawn comes in masala, saag and madras form. Decisions decisions....

There are as many vegetarian meals as there are meat ones, a rarity indeed! Choose from the classic dhal or something more decadent like Palak Paneer. And if you have any room left, the bar awaits!
