Honouring the traditional Chinese cooking methods of old, Taichi serves a truly authentic taste of the East. Forming communities and creating great memories is what they do, and they do it with endless grace and charm.

An elegant and timeless restaurant is the perfect setting to indulge in Taichi's exquisite offerings that entertain all the senses. Decorated with China's lucky red, this eatery simply radiates optimism and warmth whilst also retaining a touch of class with a restrained and symmetrical approach to other elements. Completely open-plan and welcoming, everyone is invited to feed their body and soul amongst the hubbub of happy communal chatter.

And if you can't figure out what they're saying, it'll be everyone discussing the options from their extensive menu. With every hunger, craving, fancy catered for, Taichi's menu demands a good amount of time just for perusing! First up is the Taichi roast that's filling plates with the almighty Cantonese roast duck, Peking duck and crispy pork. Then other meats come into play, like the satay chicken, sauteed beef with ginger, pork stir-fries and heaps of seafood options. We're talking braised blue cod, sweet and sour fish and prawn cutlets amongst many (many) more.

And that's before we've arrived at the rice and noodles section. All kinds of combinations are filling the air with their mouth-watering aromas! From seafood fried rice to chicken fried noodles, rice vermicelli and fried honfun noodles, there's a slurpy forkful for everyone. Vegetarians are also treated to a plethora of options that boast every bit of flavour as their meaty counterparts. This is Chinese hospitality at its best. Where no craving goes unsatiated, Taichi is one for the books in Christchurch.
