Tauranga’s Papamoa neighbourhood is bringing a little Southern comfort to New Zealand with the arrival of Texas Pete’s. This spacious spot keeps the good times and grilled goodness rolling from the moment you step inside to the last delicious bite of dessert. The restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere, complemented by the irresistible scent of slow-cooked BBQ wafting through the air. No doubt about it — this bold, family-friendly locale is set to serve up some of the best eats in town.

Grab the squad and order some snacks to kick off a simply delicious lunch to dinner. The loaded fries are perfect for sharing, and you’ll be talking about these taste explosions for days. If finger food’s the vibe, dive into a basket of buffalo chicken wings. And of course, no dining at Texas Pete’s would be complete without a taste of their prized ribs. Straight off the smoker, these smoky, sticky offerings are cooked to perfection and guaranteed to take you straight to BBQ heaven.

For the full Southern experience, dive into one of Texas Pete’s signature meat trays, packed with mouth-watering meats fresh off the smoker, smothered in bold sauces, and served with house slaw and their famous fries. With First Table, you can enjoy up to two meats per person — the perfect portion to savour all that slow-cooked flavour.

Get the gang together and enjoy a proper feast at Texas Pete’s. This Southern-style BBQ joint is where the only thing taken seriously is good times and great food. Now that’s something we can get behind.
