Nestled beside Auckland's very own wild, wild, west, Little India in Glen Eden beckons with promises of hearty, authentic Northern Indian cuisine that's both beautiful to behold and addictive to the palate. Drawing inspiration from the Punjab, the team has chosen to present some of the more characterful, legendary dishes originating from that neck of the woods.

Step foot inside and you'll soon be mesmerised by a cavernous dining room filled with a colourful mix of East-meets-West. One side is dominated by a seductive mix of floor-to-ceiling squares and rich oak booths and the other is a bar flanked by industrial-style accent lighting. Cosmopolitan, chic and quintessentially modern, this spot sets itself apart from others in the West with ease.

Turn your attention to the menu and prepare to submit to a feast at an eatery notorious in India for serving up the juiciest, most authentic Punjabi flavour bombs. From paneer tikka to samosas, prepare to dip, wrap and sizzle your way through some of the most enchanting starters you've ever laid your eyes on.

Korma, Rogan josh, dal makhani and shahi paneer: Little India's main events have enough spice and fire to leave you weak at the knees. Coupled with an outstanding array of unique rice dishes and fluffy pieces of naan - which you'll need to mop up every single heaven-sent sauce.
