In South Auckland, Our Local lives up to its straightforward name, welcoming diners with familiar comforts and generous plates. The mood is relaxed and unpretentious, the sort of spot where the promise of a good feed does the talking and conversations linger. It suits weeknight suppers, easy catch-ups and those moments when only classic, satisfying fare will do.

On the menu, crowd-pleasers lead the way: saucy buffalo chicken wings and crisp mushroom croquettes to start - burgers like Whataburger and Chick 'n' Licken with golden chips - pizzas ranging from chicken to Margherita - and a hearty grass-fed scotch fillet with fries, salad and mushroom sauce.

Seafood options are equally satisfying, with Noble Fish bringing grilled fish, potato mash, seasonal vegetables and a bright lemon butter sauce.

Families are also well looked after with simple kids' favourites like chicken nuggets or a mini hot dog served with chips, while desserts lean nostalgic with a brownie with vanilla ice cream or caramel pudding with fresh cream.

Drop in for honest flavours, generous portions and an easygoing welcome. Bring your appetite and make it, well, your local.
