Blue Ox Babe offers a New Zealand first, combining American low ‘n’ slow BBQ with Asian fusion cuisine, located in the heart of Pukekohe.

The restaurant serves award-winning meats, slow-cooked for up to two days over New Zealand Pohutukawa wood in a Texas-built offset pit. Alongside this, an innovative Asian fusion menu blends signature dishes from across Asia with a unique twist. Enjoy a large, fully covered garden bar or dine indoors, where you can watch the culinary magic unfold in the open-plan kitchen.

The Asian Fusion menu features standout dishes such as smoked duck fried rice with Singaporean-style chilli sauce, XO smoked duck and the must-try award-winning green papaya salad.

For BBQ enthusiasts, the low ‘n’ slow offerings include mouthwatering sliced beef brisket, beef short rib with Thai-style chimichurri, and sliced pork belly, complemented by sides like five-cheese mac and cheese, aged house-pickled cucumber, and straight-cut fries. If you're feeling especially hungry, try the brisket and cheeseburger or the brisket-loaded fries for a true indulgence.

At Blue Ox Babe, you’ll discover a one-of-a-kind blend of flavours you never thought possible at a BBQ joint. Gather your amigos and unwind in the outdoor picnic area, the perfect spot to enjoy great food and good company.
