Tucked away in Greenhithe, Auckland, The Malt Greenhithe is a local gem where comfort food meets a convivial pub atmosphere.

Upon your arrival you’re greeted by the warm buzz of friendly chatter, the clinking of glasses, and the inviting aroma of hearty dishes wafting from the kitchen. The interior is a cosy embrace of traditional pub elements with a modern twist, creating a space that’s perfect for a casual dinner, drinks with mates, or a laid-back family meal.

Kick off with their mouth-watering selection of snacks & starters. The pulled pork nachos with a tangy sour cream and jalapeno salsa set the stage, alongside the buffalo hot wings, accompanied by a blue cheese aioli, bringing a fiery kick to start your meal. For a lighter touch, the beetroot tart with its layers of smoked beetroot, feta, and walnut quinoa, drizzled with beetroot yoghurt, offers a symphony of earthy and tangy notes.

Moving on to the mains, it’s clear that The Malt Greenhithe knows its way around a grill. The BBQ pork ribs, slathered in a sticky, smoky sauce, are a hands-down favourite, especially when paired with steak cut chips and a fresh slaw. The chicken schnitzel, golden and crisp, served with your choice of indulgent sauce, is a testament to the simple pleasures of pub fare done right.

The drinks menu is equally compelling, with a carefully curated selection of local and imported beers, wines, and spirits. Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing pint or a glass of fine wine, there’s something to satisfy every thirst.
