You know that first date feeling? Butterflies, blushed cheeks and a smile that won't quit. Well, Harper Café and Restaurant's finger-licking good fare will give you that same loved-up feeling over and over again. Tucked away on Mount Wellington Highway, Harper is bringing all the warmth to the city -- from the carefully curated menu to the beautiful, homely decor. Initially finding its feet as popular eatery Charlie & George, Harper's interior has stayed true to its original blueprint, featuring soft pastels, natural wood finishes, cosy booths and lush greenery. Exuding a tropical North Shore vibe, they know it's all about the little details here. Oh, and the food! In true Kiwi fashion, the team have crafted a menu that feels like Mum just whipped it up for you after a long day's work. Seriously, how else can you explain the scrumptious bacon and egg pie? Packed with slow-cooked bacon and farm-fresh eggs encased in a buttery crisp pastry, it's said to be the actual pie in the sky. Put their smiling staff, drool-inducing fish (caught fresh that morning!) n' chips and heated beer garden in the mix and frankly, you're not going to want to leave.
