For a quality pub grub in Mt Eden, The Dominion is your newly upgraded territory to command.

This recently refurbished stalwart is both airy and modern, yet cosy. The original brickwork has been exposed, creating a homely atmosphere, which is only added to by the glorious fire.

The food is as comforting as the atmosphere, although it also comes with a little twist. The chicken schnitzel with mustard mash is a firm favourite, while NZ pork belly served with mozzarella croquettes and burnt apple puree is a delight to the senses.

As expected from any self-respecting Kiwi bar and eatery, there’s an extensive wine list, all offerings from which come from either the homeland or Australia. There’s also a strong local and international beer and cider selection.
