Nestled in the leafy streets of Mount Eden, The Clare Inn is a true hidden gem that brings a taste of Ireland to the heart of Auckland.

The moment guests step through the door, they're greeted by the comforting aroma of hearty Irish fare, rich, slow-cooked, and deeply satisfying. After all, their menu is packed with local favourites and award-winning dishes that showcase the very best of Irish cooking.

A must-try is the baby pork ribs slow-cooked to perfection and served with golden wedges, crisp coleslaw, and a vibrant salsa. Another standout is the pub’s famous beef and guinness pie: a flaky, golden pastry filled with tender beef and smothered in a rich, flavourful gravy. The Clare Inn is also renowned for its slow-cooked duck and succulent steaks, which have earned the venue more Beef and Lamb Excellence Gold Plate awards than it can count.

To round out the meal, traditional champ, mashed potatoes with spring onions, and a generous smear of Kerrygold butter offer the perfect accompaniment. For those with a sweet tooth, the decadent chocolate brownie makes for an irresistible finish.

The Clare Inn is more than just a pub; it’s a vibrant, welcoming slice of Ireland in Auckland, offering genuine hospitality, outstanding food, and an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back time and again.
