Evenings are meant to be savoured; guests are encouraged to begin with small plates alongside a first cocktail. Small plates such as samosa chaat, onion bhajees, lamb cutlets and chicken tikka are tempting starters, but the mains reveal the true depth of the kitchen.

The classics include Lounge Goat, cooked in coconut milk with cloves and cinnamon, and dal makhani, black lentils simmered overnight with butter and spices. Finish with gulab jamun and ice cream for a sweet, devilishly moreish finale.
