The food was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The fish in particular was beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

I,my wife and daughter arrived at the Post Office Public house in Mangere for dinner on Saturday evening. On finding both dining areas full with two large functions, we were seated at a bar table.I pointed out that my daughter had a leg problem, and a bar stool was not good enough. Three bar chairs were provided immediately, and the brilliant service remained all evening. I cannot rate the service and the food provided highly enough.Would we go again?? yes, In a heartbeat, and with friends as well. Tony, Lillian and Susan Mudgway

Overall, we had a lovely night at Post Office Public House and will definitely be back.

The staff were warm and attentive. They were accomodating when we arrived early for our booking.

Even though it was busy on a Friday night, the spacious setting meant we still felt that we had our own space and could hear each other across the table. Something that is not always possible in a pub style restaurant. It was clear that POPH is the local for people working out near the airport which added to the cosiness and community feel inside the restaurant.

Our meal was delightful. Having read earlier reviews about the generous portions, we kept that in mind while ordering. We got the eye fillet and chicken waffles which were both delicious and filling. What I loved about the meal was that each ingredient and side on our plates were stand-alone yum. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into preparing them.

We have been recommending POPH to our friends and family since our experience. It is definitely worth the drive out!

We visited the Post Office for the first time and LOVED it. It has a lovely warm feel to it, the service was great, and the food was amazing. The chicken waffles were to die for, and the Kiwi burger was also delicious. Meal sizes are impressive, and the beer selection is also great. A great place to have a meal on the way to the airport. Will be back for sure!

Had a lovely time. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Would recommend the mussels they were so yummy. Just one thing to think of, I would either free the mussels from the shell or have a hand cleaning bowl as we ended up with smelly hands but other than that it was perfect. Was too full to have a pudding so was guttered at myself for that hahaha

The service was great right from the outset - our server was very friendly and food came quickly. The atmosphere was warm and the food was fantastic - we had a platter and a chicken burger, with our favourites being the arancini and mac and cheese balls. A wonderful place for a night out.

Lovely dining experience on a Monday evening at Post office. We arrived half an hour early and the team were more happy to seat us at our already reserved table. We ordered the waffles with fried chicken and pork ribs, both meals were generous, tasty and filling we both ended up taking some home, would highly recommend either meals. Cocktail of the night, blue Hawaii was delicious. Staff were friendly, attentive and checking in to see how we were doing. Great setting to catch up with a group of friends or even just a quiet night for you and one other.

The beginning of my holiday. So enjoy going here. The food is always good and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and enjoy a chat. Change of menu this time meant I couldn't have my fave delicious seafood fettucine ☹but the eye fillet exceeded expectations

Atmosphere was electric, staff were welcoming and went beyond the call of duty to ensure me and my guest's were well taken care of from the moment we walked in to the final dessert. Food was soo delicious we decided to book again for another evening's first table slot, only to find that the first table our preferred evening was booked, which won't stop us as we are now more than willing to pay for full price for their great food and service. Highly recommend to all!

Great food & service. The beer battered fries are yum & there is so much chicken in the delicious chicken salad, that’s it’s a welcome relief to the usual ones you get, where it’s more salad & a few bits of chicken. Our table also ordered a Kiwi burger & hot wings - also delicious. I highly recommend Post Office Public House!

Had a great time at post office. We got delicious food which you could tell had been made with love and the portion sizes were very generous. Staff were helpful and friendly and food was quick to leave the kitchen. Definitely a place to return to!

Recently had dinner for 2.

Was greeted as soon as we entered & promptly seated, given the option to choose our seating - opted to eat outside.
Great atmosphere, clean & tidy, music in the background gave a summer vibe, wasn't too loud or distracting. They had the Super Rugby game as well.

Menus presented immediately as well as cutlery/cold water, then given time to go over options. Came over shortly to take drink requests then delivered quickly (Rekorderlig & Monteiths Apple Cider)

Ordered the selection platter, Mushroom Risotto & Venison Pie.
All options came out within good time, all hot & freshly prepared.
Crunchy chips/polenta fries / calamari wasn't rubbery / arancini balls were fluffy inside - 50/50 on the mac & cheese, I felt the smokiness in the bacon abit too much but my friend enjoyed it.
Vension pie was 50/50 - the mash was delightfully smooth & creamy, & the pastry flaky & buttery but the inside was flavourless/too liquid-ey.
Mushroom risotto was AMAZING! and a very very LARGE portion (could only manage half)

The ribs & burger meals looked so good at the table next to us so we'll be back again to try the other food on the menu. It's such a lovely spot nearby that isn't too busy & overcrowded.

We all got the burgers and they were delicious! Beef was nice and juicy and I can’t speak for the chicken but from what I heard it was spot on! As for the chips holy moly they were Devine! Excellent customer service surrounded by a cute and tidy setting, will be back.

All the food we ordered was amazing (apart from the nachos). Other food we ordered were kumara wedges, garlic bread and a beef burger.
Customer service was pretty good.
The only thing was in the restaurant the TV volume was to loud, to the point we couldn't hear each other.
Definitely will be back :)

Loved our experience, we were seated on time and the service as well as the food was great. The portion size of our mains were huge so we could've shared meals but that didn't stop us from ordering the mac and cheese balls which were recommended to us. Would definitely dine here again even if its not a first table booking.

We had a lovely meal. I thought I’d try something different so I ordered the venison pie. It was very filling, however, it could have been tastier. My husband enjoyed his steak meal - the fries were delicious. The waitress was just amazing. It got busier throughout the evening and we were impressed with how well she managed the entire room on her own. Her smile never wavered - she provided excellent customer service. We will go back!
