Puglia may be thousands of kilometres away, but Puglia Ristorante Italiano is bringing a slice of authentic Southern Italy to Kingsland.

Delivering traditional Italian food is a craft in itself. Cosimo and his team are proud to serve fresh pasta that is made in the kitchen daily, plus fine Italian wines that elevate every dish. Warm, welcoming and family-friendly, Puglia is where you experience Italian hospitality at its best.

Here, pasta comes in all shapes, sizes and sauces. Traditional gnocchi can be found smothered in four kinds of cheese or a homemade bolognese ragu. Tagliatelle can be found gleaming in fresh pesto or with a range of seafood. Risotto is nice, gooey and simple with saffron and parmesan cheese.

But it's not all about the pasta! Dip into some meat specialities, like their grilled beef, olive stuffed chicken leg and fish of the day. And no-one does dessert like the Italians... welcome to Puglia!

Wow !!
A very authentic Italian experience.
The staff are amazing and Are very attentive, kind and will do what they can to make you comfortable.
What to say bout the food... it’s just outstanding.
My partner and I ordered the calmari, gnocchi, steaks and Italian vino Rosso and everything was just perfection.

By far the most authentic Italian we have been to in Auckland. The waiters we friendly and professional and the service was excellent. The pasta is all made in house. We ordered the seafood tagliatelle and the vegetarian Risotto, both of which were exquisite. Portion sizes are good also. The Panna cotta for dessert was the best I've ever tasted and the affogato was delicious too. The Limoncello on the house was a nice touch too. Will definitely be back!

What a little gem this place is. We had a lovely table outside and started with some Puglian red wine. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The dishes were rustic with the Cate amd attention that goes into.home cooked food. The burrata starter was a generous ball of burrata with prosciutto and toasted bread with worked really well with the creaminess of the cheese.oir mains were just as impressive. We tried the gnocchi ragu, the special which was oriachette with Italian sausage the tagliatelle and the steak. The portions were generous enough to fill you up and the presentation was simple but didnt mean it lacked on flavour. The steak was cooked perfect and with a generous side of fluffy baked potato was a real delight. The pasta were fantastic and the gnocchi light and fluffy with a deep rich ragu. We washed it all down with a complimentary shot of limoncello which was a real nice touch. Give this place a visit you wont be disappointed.

What a delightful experience! Genuinely friendly staff! The food was fabulous, as was the wine. It's a great Kingsland location - indoor and outdoor seating. And the complimentary limoncello was a treat. 100%!

- dined at Puglia Ristorante Italiano on

Extremely attentive staff who realised they had made a mistake with a meal but rectified it before it hit the table! Atmosphere is lovely, lemon sorbet had exactly the right amount of tang - everything was spot on. The complimentary Lemoncello at the end was a wonderful way to end the evening. Highly recommend

We chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner because we had read good things about it and we were very glad we did. We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and chose to sit inside as it was beautiful. The artwork on the walls, lights and little jars of dried spaghetti at each table created a lovely atmosphere. Service was warm, efficient and professional. The food can only be described as excellent. We tried the prawn risotto and seafood tagliatelle - both were delicious and perfectly cooked. We were glad we'd left room for dessert so we could share the torta della nonna and tiramisu and again, both were excellent. I'd go so far as to say the tiramisu was the best I've had in Auckland. It was bold with the bitterness of the cocoa and coffee and just sweet enough to make an incredible and balanced dish. I know I will be back. Thank you, Puglia Ristorante Italiano.

Wonderful birthday dining experience, thank you! Ambiance, meal, drinks and service was splendid, we will be back :-)

Great food & great service! The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was to die for.. seriously you've got to try the Pollo alla Cacciatora (just wow). I only wish I had taken a few photos to post here, but you'll just have to go there and see for yourself. Without a doubt, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a lovely anniversary dinner at Puglia. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the early booking time suited us well with a baby at home. We were seated in an ideal spot at the front of, but still inside, the main restaurant - we were offered a seat on the terrace if we'd preferred to sit outdoors. The interior design and well-known, but distinctly Italian, songs playing at just the right volume in the background made for a lovely atmosphere.
As a gluten-free pescatarian, I had chosen this restaurant because my husband loves Italian food, and Puglia catered for my dietary requirements well. To drink we both had a glass of chianti, because we love Italian reds, and wanted something lighter to complement our main courses. I ordered the prawn risotto and my husband had the tagliatelle mare, both which included decently-sized, succulent morsels of seafood; the star of the show, however, was the pear, walnut and parmesan rocket salad side dish. It was generously sized for us to share, (although I could have eaten a whole one on my on own, it was so tasty!), and I can honestly say it was the best of these salads I have ever eaten. Not too oily, with a delicious balsalmic glaze, and they didn't skimp on the parmesan. The dishes that were served to other diners around us looked as impressive as our own, particularly the entree platter, and calamari.
I was disappointed that they had sold out of the semifreddo for dessert, although the panna cotta was a fine alternative, creamy with a lovely berry puree, and my husband was very impressed by the torta della nonna. The servers were friendly and attentive, and the complimentary limoncello was a lovely touch to complete our dining experience.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning at some point to see if the calamari tastes as good as it looks, and try the GF version of the four-cheese gnocchi, and, fingers crossed, that semifreddo!

A couple of girlfriends and I dined here on Friday night. Firstly we were treated like every other guest even though we had booked via first table. Big A++ as not all places do this. We got to pick anywhere we wanted to sit so we soaked in the Kingsland night life and sat outside. Lovely wine list at reasonable prices. Our starter was shared calamari and the meat platter. Calamari was sooo tender and not greasy at all. Meat platter had some authentic Italian meats ie mortadella and the biggest bowl of yummy olives. Generous cheese hunks and a real good variety. Mains we were able to swap out the gnoccni for the pasta so very accomodating. One of the girls is gluten free and she even got GF pasta. The roast potatoes are the best we have ever had. Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside with delicious fresh pesto. No room for a full dessert but we had some lemon sorbet...tasted like the one i remember when i visited Italy. We stayed for 3hrs, glasses of wine later and full bellies. Welcome to Kingsland Puglia, you are a very welcome addition!

Best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. The 4 cheese gnocchi was super soft and creamy. King prawn risotto was to die for. Calamari was the best I've had in Auckland and the tiramisu melted in your mouth. We tried this after seeing a review from instagram and were not disappointed! It was such a lovely way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the service was absolutely lovely! We were given a complimentary glass of Limencello which was beautiful. Will most definitely be returning to try more items from the menu!!!

We really enjoyed our night at Puglia. We were greeted warmly as we arrived and as it was a warm summer night most of the tables outside were full already. We were all very pleased with our wine and beer choices of the evening and I can fully recommend the lovely italian rose on offer and the fine chianti. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the serving was very generous. The mains were all delicious and the tiramisu should most definitely be sampled. Thanks for an enjoyable evening. We will be back!

Delicious authentic Italian food! Great vegetarian options as well and generous portion sizes. The special was a tuna steak that paired with the 'wine of the week' as recommended by the owner. The potatoes are definitely a must-have and the pasta was fresh and had a great bite. Lovely deck to sit and people-watch along the main Kingsland village. And free limoncello to top it off! A great option for Italian food in the suburbs

Came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our 6th month together. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with enthusiastic staff who looked genuinely happy to see us.

We ordered the seafood pasta which was absolutely amazing. The staff also recommended a really beautiful wine for me to pair with my food. After we finished the mains, they served us each a complimentary shot of limoncello which was a really lovely gesture.

We finished off our dinner with their Tiramisu which I think is one of the best Tiramisu I've had. The lady fingers were sufficiently infused with coffee without being overpowering and the mascarpone was just right.

Overall, we had a really wonderful dinner at Puglia.

Wow what a great evening we had!
We started with bruschetta, the bread was lovely and loaded with tomatoes, I would have liked a little more salt and basil.
We then had the orecchiette puglia, al dente! Jesse Mulligan, you must return, the ears have shrunk

We had a great time at Puglia, thank you. The service was second to none; they were very attentive, friendly and created the hospitable Italian family environment.

I had the Gnocci al Ragu as a main and Panna Cotta for desert... both were soooo delicious! Mmmmm... Thank you. :-)
Unfortunately my partner thought her prawns (Tagliatelle mare) tasted watery and her Tiramisu a bit bland (sorry).
Not withstanding this, we would definitely come back to Puglia!
Thank you again. :-)

Cute little italian place with great service. Quick and attentive without being too much.
Good was nothing special. We had calamari, well cooked but under seasoned, Bruschetti which was nice but needed balsamic vinegarette.
For mains we had four cheese gnocchi and prawn risotti. The gnocchi itself was great but sauce was bland, as was the risotto. Pretty flavourless and had barely any prawn.
Auckland has so many italian options so wont be returning.
