Cuisine: Contemporary, Craft Beer Bar, International
Price Point: Mains from $20 - $35+

A new bar and eatery in central Kingsland Village, Holy Hop welcomes you and your dog with open arms.

Grungy, cool and relaxed, this establishment is the new favourite for all trendy Aucklanders looking for a watering hole outside the city centre. The dining area is fully stocked with informal bar-stool seating, worn wooden tables, sports TVs and a pretty impressive bar! Outside on their friendly patio, you can expect live music and friendly doggos... as you could ever want more in life.

Make a night of it and warm up the stomach with some nibbly bits, like the pizza bread, kiwi hot dog and some truly unique beer-battered pickles! However, the real pickle is filling yourself on starters before the main event, so leave some room!

If you're on a pizza high, go for a pizza for the main course. Are you a lamb lover? Because there's an actual lamb lover pizza, as well as roast chicken, bbq pulled pork and a meat feast number. Other mains include fish and chips, ribs, chicken schnitzel and just about all of our favourite pub grub. There's nothing left to do but hop your way down to Holy Hop.

Food was delicious and service was fantastic.
Quantity of the dishes really exceeded my expectations and was very filling.
We ordered garlic bread and macaroni & cheese as our entrees but these could've been mains by the size of them.
I rate the food and overall experience as a 9 out of 10. Would definitely go back there again!

Our second time eating at Holy Hop and won't be the last. Great food and service from the team there.
Try the Ribs, and if you like fried chicken you will enjoy theirs, just the right amount of spice.
First table is a great way to discover new places to eat.

Holy Hop is the place to be. The menu is epic, the team are welcoming and attentive, and the drinks list has something for everyone. We had the calamari and chorizo skewers, the deep fried pickles, and the suckling pig sliders. All were scrumptious and large enough to share. If you want a guaranteed good time, book a table here.

I had last visited when it was the previous name and owners. With the refurbishments there's a great outdoor area that was beautiful and bright, food and drink were delicious with lovely staff. Would highly recommend !

Lovely atmosphere, very accomodating when it came to seating options as we had a 3 year old dining and the high bar stools werent an option for us. A bit rushed for time eating wise as the Blues rugby team were due and we were sitting in the cordoned off section. However food was great, live music was enjoyable. Would come back again definitely.

Amazing place. Staff were so friendly. Food was great. Atmosphere was wonderful... Especially with live band.
Don't usually rate restaurants this high, but Holy Hop is worth it.

Food was delicious. Regular price might be a tad too expensive for my liking. But with the First Table deal, it was a steal. The prawns with the Moroccan pineapple was truly unique and mouth watering. The calamari and chorizo skewers were very good. The beer battered pickles were unbelievable. Mains were huge in size. Toblerone cheesecake was so good. Excellent food overall. Very flavourful and lots of variation in the menu.
Service was top notch. The French lady was very welcoming and friendly. And Herman the German, as he refers to himself, was very humorous and entertaining. Always a smile on his face and always helpful in making a selection. Great experience.

Incredible set up and the staff were awesome! Some of the food however wasn’t quite what we expected e.g the calamari/chorizo entre. Overall really enjoyable experience and will be back

The drinks were amazing! The food was fine, not bad but not wow. The service though... Firstly from ordering to getting our drinks took 10 minutes and after our food, when our plates were collected, we asked if we could order dessert and it took them half an hour to come back to us... Then another 10 - 15 minutes for us to get our cheesecake. It was a good cheesecake though. Nice enough but I wouldn't go back for food, only drinks.
