Lillius, in Grafton, is guided by intimate relationships with growers and producers. Here, the menu is an ever-evolving journey and always a complete experience. The kitchen invites diners to trust its curiosity, bringing unfamiliar seasonal treasures into focus and allowing them to shine without fuss.

Flavours lean toward clarity and provenance, with the ocean often taking centre stage; yellowfin tuna and a daily market fish speak to fresh catch and gentle precision. Sourdough with cultured butter offers a quietly indulgent prelude, while an aperitivo sets the tone. To close, a raspberry soufflé lifts the curtain on a final, feather-light flourish. Each course feels considered, contemporary and distinctly of Aotearoa.

The experience unfolds in a measured rhythm, moving from snacks to begin through starters, mains and dessert, all anchored by a spirit of discovery. Secure a seat and surrender to the season; at Lillius, curiosity is the best condiment.
