The historic Fisher House was originally built in 1962 by Sir Woolf Fisher (who lead iconic Kiwi company Fisher and Paykel to success), on a 177-acre stud farm called Ra Ora.
Designed to entertain, the property has luxurious features and rooms, from a wood-panelled study to a large billiards room (now used for dining and functions). The heritage building has been lovingly restored and incorporates a casual dining room, bar and garden terrace.
With ample free parking available, Fisher House is conveniently located for after-work socialising or a catch up with friends. The homely atmosphere and delicious kid’s menu also make it a great restaurant for family dining.
Serving traditional New Zealand cuisine, enjoy steak, pork belly or fish dishes alongside a glass of New Zealand wine or a tap beer.
