Enjoy twinkly lights and indoor gardens at this urban jungle of a restaurant! Designed to emulate the cool ambience of a glasshouse, the Glass Goose Bar & Eatery is a real oasis away from the bustle of Auckland.

Well-known for their contemporary and shareable dishes, the Glass Goose offers a modern menu for both lunch and dinner. From platters of cured meats and local cheeses, to pan-fried market fish and New Zealand lamb, there’s something to keep the whole table happy. If you simply can’t wait for the main course, try their smaller dishes, like the crumbed pork belly or potato cod croquette. Got a sweet tooth? Their dessert menu offers to-die-for treats, including a Malibu panna cotta, salted caramel whoopie pie and cardamom brulee.

As well as dishes everyone can enjoy, the Glass Goose is renowned for its picture-perfect cocktails and magical mixologists. Toast the evening from their rooftop bar with a Glass Goose Frozen Prosecco, a sweet, fragrant and zesty cocktail, garnished with flowers and a cloud of candyfloss. Delicious!

Awesome spot. Ordered lots of different little meals and it took forever for them to arrive. We were waiting on one meal towards the end and by the time it arrived we were ready to leave.

Great service, friendly wait staff who were very attentive. Highly recommend the duck fat potato skins, they were amazing! Nice atmosphere, superb glass ceiling looking right up at the Sky tower. This looks even better at night when the lights are lit up.

I enjoy first table because usually you have a restaurant to yourself so service is superb and everything arrives in a timely manner.

We over ordered but that didn't both us as the food was lovely. Would have prepared more of the condiments on each dish as they avocado mash and aioli both weren't enough for the portion sizes provided

We ordered a number of dishes and loved them all. The chilli clams were a delightful start to our brunch. Accompanied by the pulled pork slider which had a slight crisp on the outside and mouthwatering meat in the middle. I was recommended the Wagyu short rib which had the qualities that you see in a dish on something like Master Chef. My partner enjoyed the market fish and our friend loved the lamb rump. The venue would be one of my favorites in Auckland, with the bar set up in the middle to tempt you just enough to try one of there many different types of liquor on display. This place is fantastic to show your friends one of the few hidden gems in Auckland.

Service was great, atmosphere was good, food was just ok - we tried a number of different dishes and in my opinion they’re overpriced for the quality and the size compared to similar restaurants.

Highs : large breezy outdoor deck
Lows : the deck is a smoking area : (
Dog friendly : in the cbd s probably not
An outdoor rooftop garden on a sunny summers day sipping a delicious cooling cocktail - what more could you want? Except the breezy outdoor deck allows smokers and We were informed the only place to escape the fumes was inside in the dark sunshineless depths : (
The Mad Hatters Tea Party cocktail sounded sooo refreshing and I really wanted one. So, it added to my disappointment when the waitress told me they were out of ingredients for it.
What was meant to be a relaxing long lunch turned into a whirlwind with the small plates and mains delivered at breakneck speed - we finished our dining experience in a record 35 minutes!
We ordered a chilli wagyu beef cup - one bite in a lettuce leaf which was quite tasty and I had a mussel fritter with a huge amount of gribiche that outweighed the mussel. And there was only one mussel to enjoy. For a main - Wagyu Short Rib with parsnip purée and I had Sesame Crusted Tarakihi with Chinese broccoli. Now the timing of these dishes came out tapas style, however the small plates were average $5 and mouthful size so not like you could actually share. My partner enjoyed the wagyu and the side of potato skins however my tarakihi which did have sesame seeds on top but did not seem ‘encrusted’ and had none of the toasty nuttiness I expected being drowned out with a sea of oyster sauce and unseasoned couscous. I was starving though and the fish was cooked beautifully so polished it off. The main portions were good size but you are paying Euro prices without the finesse, service or experience.
Ending our meal, on payment we were asked by the unfailingly abrupt waitress, in the most disinterested manner, ‘was everything alright with our meals’. Where to start?
As a bar under city lights I’m sure it could be a magical experience.

We had an amazing time at lunch! The service was great and we were greeted with a smile, orders taken promptly. Food was amazing! Bite sized snacks were a great little starter and we shared a few of the main meals. Our fave was the pork sliders and wagu lettuce cups.
Will def be back.

Great experience, great venue! We were 3 ladies meeting for lunch. We ordered the cauliflower (my fave), eggplant, short rib and potato skins. All were amazing, as always. We finished off with a Christmas cocktail - gingerbread eggnog which was big enough for all of us to share. The service was impeccable - just enough attention but not too much. Overall, a wonderful lunch - thanks GG!

We booked a table last minute for our work teams Christmas lunch and all the food was fantastic. Cocktails and wine were delicious and the service was fantastic! Such a great atmosphere with views from the rooftop looking up under the sky tower. We couldn't think of anything that we didn't like about our experience besides the arborist cleaning the exterior of the building which meant we got drizzled with water every now and then but the staff were nice enough to move us to table inside.
Thanks to everyone working last Friday and taking such great care of our team.

We had a very enjoyable Saturday brunch at The Glass Goose after staying the night at the Skycity hotel, which is just opposite the restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food are delicious. My favourite is the Chilli wagyu beef in lettuce cup and my daughter’s is the pulled pork slider. We both ordered them twice

I have never personally thanked a chef until I ate at The Glass Goose. I was compelled to do so as I could see her create our dishes from the kitchen and because the flavors were exquisite. I highly recommende the oysters with watermelon and sparkling water! If it's a warm day and you're sitting on the covered terrace sipping cocktails...their flavour will transport you to the very best of summertime.

Beautiful festive outdoor seating underneath the skytower. We had the duck fat potato skins, the haloumi and the baked polenta and it was all delicious! The raspberry marquise was especially good for desert. Staff were really helpful, professional and friendly. One of my favourite first table's I've been to, will definitely be coming back soon!

Desserts..Pannacotta with spicy pineapple & Creme Brulee exactly right. Best we've tasted in awhile. Meant to take a photo ..we were talking too much. The four of us truly enjoyed our experience at The Glass Goose. Yes will return..thank you.

Had a nice chilled lunch on saturday. really cool little spot when the weather is good to sit outside
we decided to share four of the lighter plates which was more than enough for the two of us
We had the aubergine chips - really tasty crunchy cumin coating , a little salty but delicious when dipped in the cashew sauce
beef cheek and black pudding - the most filling but a tad disappointing . lovely cooked beef cheek which we liked and lots of potatoes in gravy but only two small pieces of black pudding
sliced raw beef & slaw - we really liked this one , fist time having raw beef and its a bit tricky to scoop onto a fork but we liked it with the slaw
polenta & kale - loved this one lovely crisp and salty kale with the baked polenta - could do with a sauce but we had some left from the chips so used these
really lovely friendly staff and great drinks selection so we would pop in again

I dined at the Glass Goose with three other ladies on a weekday lunch and we were more than happy with the service we experienced and food we were served. The host was a lovely Frenchman with a friendly smile who made sure we were having a spectacular time. We were then served by a waitress who was bubbly who explained the menu to us and gave us time to look at the menu (despite us being not ready within the first fifteen minutes of being seated!). We chose an array of bites, smaller and medium dishes for lunch to share. They were impeccably presented on the plate by the chefs. Our favourite dish was the smoked potato waffle with an avocado mousse. Potato and avo? How could you go wrong? We ordered a bunch of cocktails as well since the meal was such a steal and had a great work lunch break! The ambience of the restaurant was open aired and it was a gorgeous day. The greenery surrounding the terrace was so welcoming and inviting and we felt like we had been whisked away for holiday during lunch. A fantastic mid-week pick-me-up! We will definitely be back!
