We had a lovely date night. We were given the choice to sit inside or out and chose outside cause the weather was nice. The atmosphere was great, service was cheerful and helpful and the food was divine!! We went for the duck fat potato skins (delish!), Crumbed pork belly bites and a fish bite. For mains we went with the short rib and lamb and did not want the meal to end. Great flavours and portion size. Dessert was the chocolate marquise which was stunning and we went away very happy (and very full). Would highly recommend!

This was our first experience with "fancy food" - and what an experience it was! We had some individual bites (the pork belly bite was out of this world) and a share plate (duck fat potato skins for the win!) to start with. The mains were delicious as well - I would definitely recommend the duck leg to anyone. We decided to finish off with dessert and the choices were easy - salted caramel whoopie pie and cardamom brulee. Each dish looked beautiful and tasted unbelievably good. The portion sizes were just right and so satisfying. We were seated outside right under the Sky Tower, so we had a breathtaking view. The Glass Goose will see us again!

Went to Glass Goose with a couple of my colleagues, and decided to book using first table. Location is really great, and we were offered the choice to sit inside or outside. Our waitress was very attentive and ran us through the menu - we settled on ordering two sharing plates and two main dishes.

For the sharing plates we had the haloumi salad which was really delicious, and the eggplant chips which were very crisp and came with a nice creamy dressing. For mains we had the pork belly and wagyu beef cheek which were also both really delicious. We were all full (but not too full) and definitely would come back here again. Thanks Glass Goose team!

The duck was amazing, service was great. Had 4 bites and 1 main between 2 of us. Loved the fact it had everything we wanted in one place. Indoors for the restaurant, and then later we moved outdoors to the bar. Didn't have to leave all night as everything you need is in the one venue. Cocktails were great, the Basil Grande was the best! Will be back.

I must have walked past the Glass Goose a hundred times when I'm in the city, but this restaurant is surprisingly spacious with great views for both indoor and outdoor diners. Beautifully decorated, great staff and the food was brought out promptly. Our waitress recommended the Mozzarella Waffles as a main and the Chocolate Marquise for dessert, her suggestions were right on point as these were the absolute stand out dishes from our lunch. The small bite size options as starters are also a nice way to explore more of the menu. Our only suggestion is to have the option to tip when paying by card, our waitress was so outstanding we really wanted to show our appreciation. Overall, my parter and I had a wonderful time at the Glass Goose and will recommend to friends.

Cannot fault this place, or the wonderful staff. They were so accommodating and thorough, provided great recommendations and so friendly. The food was to die for - we loved the beef wagyu cups & pork belly the most, but we enjoyed everything we got our little hands on! Atmosphere is beautiful, outdoor area was stunning and inside just as beautiful - feels very welcoming with all the plants and friendly faces :) Cannot wait to come back!

Was the most effortless coupon/voucher dining experience ever. The lovely waitress was very friendly and sensible at helping us choose the menu for the right amount, food was served promptly and was mouthwatering. we had duck fat potato skin and wagu rib, both dishes were divine.
The atmosphere here will really take you away from the grey buildings, and place you in lovely garden corner.
First table definitely encouraged us to give a go as the full price for Glass Goose is slightly out of budget for my work day lunch though it is close to workplace, but with the first table offer, I’m sure I’ll make more frequent visit from now :)

When I first walked up the stairs to the Glass Goose you can see why it has a great reputation. The ambience is warm with a tastefully decorated bar and a lovely outside deck. If you have a visitor who is new to Auckland then this is the place you bring them to. You can sit under the Skytower and watch people jump off. You're central so after your meal you can do anything you want in the CBD as its only a quick walk away to the waterfront, the art gallery or the Maritime museum.

We had the loveliest waitress called Caitlyn who was attentive and sweet. My date and I were having such a great time talking that we forgot to look at the menu properly so I ended up asking Caitlyn to help me choose. I told her my preferences and she happily helped me pick a lovely cocktail, a side dish of pulled beef brisket and my main meal of Wagyu on a bed of parsnip.

The food was prepared well, and the chef took great care to plate it so it looked delectable.
It's always a good sign when your staff know the menu well. It means they've enjoyed it before and are confident with their recommendation and when the chef puts so much effort into making your food look good, you know they've cooked it with care as well.

The Glass Goose is a gorgeous place to visit and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like a touch of casual class when they dine.

Service 5/5 give Caitlyn a pay rise she was awesome
Ambience 5/5 The decor has been chosen with care and brings a soft warmth when you dine inside
Cleanliness 5/5 The toilets were spotless. Usually if a restaurant has a problem with cleanliness you can tell from the state of their bathroom. I'm fussy about where I eat so I'm pleased to say that the Glass Goose was perfect.
Food flavour 5/5 Do try the Wagyu and the Bloody Mary Oyster Shot.
Price For 4 beers, two cocktails, a main, a side dish and a bloody Mary oyster shot plus our First table 50% discount on food our total came to around $100 which I believe to be a steal, so make sure you snap up the First Table offer for the Glass Goose as soon as possible and go and experience everything yourself. ♥

We had a very warm welcome on arrival and provided a great location to enjoy views up to the sky tower. Service was prompt and thorough. The food was excellent and we will definitely be back. Thanks first table, has it not been for you we would not have discovered such a great spot to dine out in the city centre.

The venue is quite cool, best place to enjoy the breeze and warmth during sunny days. The food looked enticing but some were too oily for my liking (eg. Mussel fritter and potato skins). For main I ordered the Wagyu short rib, the taste was quite average didn’t really have the ‘melt in your mouth’ Wagyu taste. The highlight for me was the dessert, I ordered the Malibu panna cotta...delicious!

This i my second time at the Glass Goose, evidence that I enjoyed it the first time. The restaurant has a nice feel and the staff are friendly and accommodating. While there are gluten free options available, the chef was flexible enough to make minor adjustments to make the dishes I wanted meet my needs too. Thank you for that. A very pleasant night out.

- dined at The Glass Goose on

We went there for an early-bird dinner. Food was good and service was excellent - very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

- dined at The Glass Goose on

Really great service and fantastic food. Would recommend trying their non-alcoholic cocktails - absolutely delicious and complemented the meal perfectly especially for the lunchtime meal. Glass Goose is perfect for sharing dishes but offers great 'big' dishes if you're not too keen on sharing. The staff are also really knowledgeable, so if you're after a recommendation or advice on the menu items, they're happy to help.

Had an amazing lunch at the Glass Goose yesterday. We were greated with a smile by our awesome waitress who was very helpful with menu choices. We ordered one of each off the small bites, the clams, the beef salad, duckfat potato skins and a side of brussel sprouts. My favs were the mussle fritter, pork belly and the clams were cooked perfectly and come with perfectly toasted bread to dip and scoop up the miso broth.

I really enjoyed the vibe and decor of the location. We visited during a spring event, so they had the most magnificent (fake) cherry blossom tree which looked amazing.

The layout of the menu is more geared towards shared plates, and I think if you are a fan of fried food then it would be great. I personally enjoyed the cheese waffles, but we had also ordered the polenta which tasted a bit similar. The polenta did seem to lack flavour. Both dishes were of the fried variety so it ended up being a bit rich for us - ideally, I should perhaps have ordered a salad to balance it out.

Drinks were so cute! We each ordered cocktails from their spring blossoms range - the frozen lager was surprisingly delicious (and I'm not even a beer drinker). I loved the gin cocktail, it looked good and tasted better.

Service was great and very attentive, our server was absolutely lovely and kept checking up on us to refill glasses as needed.

Overall, I would definitely come back but perhaps might order mains instead of the shared plates.

Very attentive and great service, lovely atmosphere on the deck area outside which is beautifully decorated, and the food is so worth it through first table, been here twice now and been extremely satisfied both times!! The service was great from the start, the food even better. It's easy to share the plates amongst friends so you can all enjoy the delicious delights that you order. The cheese waffles are a must-try - you won't regret it! It wasn't too busy (we went on a Tuesday) so it wasn't too loud and good for a catchup with a friend I haven't seen in a long time.

Our booking was for 11.45am on a wet Sunday. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a little while but then more tables filled up. We were amazed that such a gem is so well hidden away, literally just opposite the Sky Tower. We had a couple of the bite sized starters which were very tasty. Then we followed that with three share plates - brussel sprouts with bacon, cheese waffles and thinly sliced beef with coleslaw. All dishes were very tasty and filling - especially the waffles (it was a huge dish). Also enjoyed a wine and beer - all in all a very pleasant lunch. The waitress was amazing and so friendly and helpful.

Cool restaurant with cool decor and a cool location. We got to watch people doing the Auckland tower Sky Jump while chowing down on some seriously tasty eats. The menu has some good variety and is perfect for sharing while still filling you up. The lamb was especially tasty with drool-worthy crispy skin. Interior decor was very stylish and creative with a lot of greenery - lovely to spend lots of time around. This one is an absolute gem!

We ordered a number of dishes and loved them all. The chilli clams were a delightful start to our brunch. Accompanied by the pulled pork slider which had a slight crisp on the outside and mouthwatering meat in the middle. I was recommended the Wagyu short rib which had the qualities that you see in a dish on something like Master Chef. My partner enjoyed the market fish and our friend loved the lamb rump. The venue would be one of my favorites in Auckland, with the bar set up in the middle to tempt you just enough to try one of there many different types of liquor on display. This place is fantastic to show your friends one of the few hidden gems in Auckland.

We booked a table last minute for our work teams Christmas lunch and all the food was fantastic. Cocktails and wine were delicious and the service was fantastic! Such a great atmosphere with views from the rooftop looking up under the sky tower. We couldn't think of anything that we didn't like about our experience besides the arborist cleaning the exterior of the building which meant we got drizzled with water every now and then but the staff were nice enough to move us to table inside.
Thanks to everyone working last Friday and taking such great care of our team.

I have never personally thanked a chef until I ate at The Glass Goose. I was compelled to do so as I could see her create our dishes from the kitchen and because the flavors were exquisite. I highly recommende the oysters with watermelon and sparkling water! If it's a warm day and you're sitting on the covered terrace sipping cocktails...their flavour will transport you to the very best of summertime.

We really enjoyed the feeling of being inside a glass house in the middle of the city. The interior design and the mood feeling made the atmosphere really comfortable. We started by ordering a few drinks and the service was excellent. We ordered a few bites first: the chilli wagyu beef lettuce cup and the pork belly. These were small but really really good. We also shared a medium dish (beef brisket buns) and two sides of vegetables. All the food we had was delicious and we were left feeling full and satisfied. We'll definitely be back for more.

Lovely place with great food and drinks and excellent service. However, the experience was not our cup of tea due to the boorishly loud drinkers/smokers in the outside area. Had we had a choice of table, we could have gone inside away from them and been very happy.

Nice interesting place. Staff excellent. Food average and one one our mains arrived well after others. Seats hard. Could do with a few cushions

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Saffron was our waitress and was very attentive and sweet.
My only grudge was watching her do everything while the Maitre d and another waitress just stood around. There would be food up on the pass and the Maitre d would ring the bell for her to come and collect it while she was running around clearing dirty tables. I cant see why he take it out. So she has to run back with a tray full of glasses to the bar then take the food out. Also the other waitress came out with a tray of our drinks and swaps it with Saffons tray to be bought to us when we were 3 meters away, I don't understand that. Ihave managed and supervised restaurants and cafes all my life. There was no team work here at all.
Well done Saffron for your amazing service and charm.

The food was really different and unique.. Full of flavor and very very delicious. I have to admit though that the only way we could afford it was due to the First table deal. The eggplant chips, potato skin in duck fat, pork sliders, Chilli wagyu beef and the chocolate marquise were stand out dishes. Amazing taste!

Not sure of what we were heading for with the outside unappealing, sort of shabby chic gone wrong. However once you go up the stairs it opens to an al fresco bar area with an unusually enticing view of the sky tower above. This leads to the inside dining area. A little dim for my liking. Waitress was excellent- attentive & friendly. Food was very good as was the side of seasonal vegetables. Had the Angus rib & delicious is all I can say. Husband thought the fish of the day was very good too but wanted bigger fillets, his only regret. Music was loud for the bar area & needed to be turned down a notch so you can actually talk & hear your companion in the dining area. The food was surprisingly good, waitress excellent, has the overall potential to be a really great destination with a tweak to the decor to create a more appealing atmosphere.

I would have gone one for both food and service however they made good on our issues with a refund so went one higher.
Ordered all together, yet the main dish came out 95 minutes later.
That dish was missing an ingredient, garlic was undercooked and the pork belly skin was just slop - not crunchy.
I would go back as it is a nice place and has potential with better service and food quality.
