Indochine Kitchen delight is bringing the vibrant streets of Hanoi to Auckland's Britomart. In a city where you don't know what spectacle awaits you around the corner, this eatery's menu brings unbridled joy in equal measure.

Cosy and quaint, the love for Vietnam and its history is apparent the moment you set foot inside the door. Peeking through a ceiling of fairy lights is a wall entirely devoted to old photographs that hark back to a bygone era. Therefore, immerse yourself in this authentic offering and enjoy their faultless hospitality, where you feel like you're the only person in the room.

Specialising in tapas as well as larger plates, try a bit of everything by ordering some small plates for starters. Their fresh rice rolls are wonderful and replenishing, the BBQ beef sirloin steak rolls are small morsels of heaven and the crispy spring rolls are brimming with prawn, pork and vermicelli noodles.

For something bigger, you can't go wrong with a warming bowl of pho with your choice of meaty additions. Beef and pork are in the driving seat with the likes of the slow-cooked beef stew, beef noodle salad, and crispy marinated pork ribs, all flavoured to perfection. However, for a real treat, opt for the charcoal BBQ duck that's served on a refreshing bed of mango. And you'll find that the multitude of fairy lights will coax you into staying for a Vietnamese-inspired cocktail or three! Who would want to leave this magical cubby hole?!
