On Auckland’s Ponsonby Road, Tobi is a relaxed neighbourhood eatery that effortlessly blends comfort with style. With spacious seating, soft natural light, and a cosy bar area, this all-day bistro is ideal for everything from casual catch-ups to special dinners – all wrapped in a warm, smart-casual atmosphere.

Drawing inspiration from both European and Asian cuisines, the menu is a thoughtful fusion of East and West. Carefully sourced ingredients are used to create visually striking, flavour-forward dishes that are rich yet balanced with fresh, modern touches.

Their signature fried chicken, served atop creamy mashed potato and drenched in buttery miso gravy, is a standout. For those who cannot decide, the banquet menu offers the perfect introduction: think crispy rice topped with spicy tuna tobiko, unmissable prawn toast, and a choice of sizzling steak or fragrant oriental chicken. With options like these, it is hard to go wrong.

Tobi is sure to leave an impression – teasing the taste buds with tang, umami, spice, and the very best of modern Asian.
