breakfast

Longshot brings Ponsonby’s mornings into crisp focus. As the sister café to Longroom, it’s leaning into alfresco ease - its atrium-style courtyard catching the early light and the neighbourhood buzz.

It’s the spot for an unhurried catch-up or a sharp pre-work coffee, where conversation hums and the day stretches invitingly ahead.

Breakfast and brunch are treated with quiet confidence and a dash of indulgence. The sweet corn fritters arrive with wilted greens, chilli and pesto sour cream, lifted by tomato relish and finished with crispy bacon and avocado for a satisfying texture. You’ll be drawn to French toast topped with banana brûlée, vanilla mascarpone and fresh berries, all glossed with maple for a gentle, nostalgic sweetness.

Sides keep things supple and savoury, from smoked salmon to merguez lamb sausage, bringing warmth, with creamy mushrooms and smashed avocado rounding out the comforts. It’s a menu built for lingering, balancing freshness with familiar café classics done properly.

Settle into the courtyard, sip, graze and let the morning unfold at its own pace. Whether visiting for coffee or easing into the day over brunch, Longshot makes every hour feel golden. Drop by and let ‘em take their best shot!
