Embrace the Aegean tradition of coming together for simple, beautifully home-cooked food and top-notch hospitality.

This is European food, but not as you know it. Inspired by adventures through Greece and Turkey and the home-style cooking favoured by Turkish Chef and co-owner Zeki, Lokānta serves up hearty Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean dishes.

From Lokānta’s famous octopus, to flatbreads, fresh caught seafood ,flaming haloumi, and seasonal dolma, the food reflects the region with robust flavours. There’s plenty of options for meat-eaters and vegetarians and all of the dishes are cooked with the honesty and passion of a great home-cooked meal. For dessert, try coconut and almond baklava with a modern twist or relish the subtle flavour of real Turkish delight.

Sit back and relax in the homely restaurant with a glass of Greek (or a more local NZ) wine. Embrace the spirit of Lokānta, gather your loved ones and select a wide range of small and large dishes to share and savour.
