Freeman & Grey bring Ponsonby’s sociable spirit to life, offering a two-storey venue where good music and an easy-going buzz set the tone from the moment you arrive.

It's laid-back by day and early evening, with a friendly team and a come-as-you-are feel that suits catch-ups, casual dates and spontaneous dining.

The menu is unfussy and crowd-pleasing, celebrating simple, comforting food done exceptionally well. At its heart are delicious hand-stretched pizzas made for sharing and lingering over with a refreshment.

Menu standouts like the buttermilk fried chicken burger, cheeseburger and hearty chicken parma bring locals through the doors, creating a vibrant neighbourhood atmosphere where conversations flow and plates are passed between friends.

As the night builds, so does the energy. Tables give way to dancing, the volume lifts and the space transforms into a lively dance floor that keeps the good times rolling. It's a local favourite precisely because it wears two hats so effortlessly - relaxed dining first, entertainment after.

Swing by for great food, stay for the rhythm and let Freeman & Grey turn an ordinary evening into a story worth sharing!
